1/2 marathon

I did it. It wasn't easy but it was worth it. 13.1 miles just outside of Portland, OR. I hung with Sarah & her family for the weekend & Sat morning we ran the Hippy Chick half marathon. Sarah's friend Carly was there too....here are a couple photos from the event. I dont plan on running that far again any time soon but it was good to put in the effort and get back on the workout plan again!

runnin and stuff

Last weekend we were lucky enough to have Sarah & Parker in town. It was super great to have good girl time with Sarah and then to hang with S & Parker on Sunday, too. Sarah and I ran our 9 mile training run last week (it wasnt pretty!) I am up for 10 miles tomorrow....which then means that next weekend is the actual race! I'm heading to Portland for a quick trip to meet up with Sarah and to run the Hippy Chick 1/2 Marathon. Let's hope this sore throat goes away by then and that I just make it over the finish line. Cross those fingers!

In little Maya news- she's not so little anymore! We had her 15 month appointment and she jumped (in three months time!) from the 5% to the 50% in weight, head size and length! Weighing in now at 22 pounds- she is finally fitting in 12-18 months clothes and is rockin the most adorable cheeks and belly!

She seems to be getting new teeth all the time (the count today was 10- I had no idea!) and she is into walking all different ways; backwards, sideways, with something over her head. She has also started turning in circles and getting so dizzy she falls down (its hilarious!) She's talking lots (the new word today was "meow" sounded like "moow") and is charming the socks off us all.

Looking forward to a sunny weekend here and then a visit from TlovesT this next weekend! Yahoo.

fun fun fun!

We say 15 months (she just turned 15 months this week!) is fun! Maya is crackin us up and we are having a blast with her. She is walking faster and faster (ie: running) and is practicing jumping (its so cute). She is getting more teeth, is now only taking one nap, started going to a nanny share, is into "surprising" us and is showing us more and more what a funny little lady she is.

This last week was Josh's birthday and we were able to have some great time together (thanks R&S!) We went here: http://www.iflysfbay.com/ and then hit up some yummy pizza and beer. We got to sleep in Sunday and we also got to visit our friends Sophia and Marwan who just had little Max. Welcome little Max Kaylani!

This weekend, TlovesT will be here to hang with little Maya and Romi. It will be so nice to hang with them and see Maya with her Oma and Papa.

Here are a couple of photos that Sandy took this past weekend.

Mama Time

I took my first multiple day trip by myself last week. It was a great time in NY and although the weather was horrible, it was great to see old pals and have a couple days of spontaneous, nothing planned-doing-whatever-came-my-way days. Thanks to Shara for hosting me and of course everyone here who helped out while I was gone and Josh was working/coaching etc!

Maya is doing great- walking, talking...having so much fun in the sunshine.
Here are some pics from the last couple weeks.

She LOVES the slide

This was Maya actually saying "cheese" for the picture (sounds like "cchhh")
These are kids from my Mommy group- so cute:

14 months

Josh and Maya were at the park today for an hour or so and when I came to meet them Maya was covered in dirt & sand and was having a total blast. She climbs to the top of the highest structure, is going down slides (even the big curvy ones), loves trying to play with the older kids- hugs them, follows them, is really interested in bikes & is all over the sand box. When I saw her today, hair matted, dirty as can be but so happy I called her "The Playground Warrior." I don't have a photo of the dirty little munchkin but I do have these recent ones;

This is my SPECIAL blanket from when I was little (awww...)
